Abstract

Mass media has the power to build a discourse on public discussion. This strength should be used in carrying out its function as a watchdog in democratic practice. The mass media must break away in a position as part of the executive or legislative because he himself is the fourth force in the pillar of democracy. In the 2019 Indonesian Presidential Election (Pilpres) the mass media showed practices that weakened this position with the presence of affiliated media owners or even became part of the political parties supporting one of the candidate pairs in the 2019 Presidential Election. This paper is critical thinking about how politics mainstream mass media in Indonesia in polarizing support to candidate pairs. The data are collected through observation of media content and in-depth interviews with informants from media workers and informants who have competence in the field of mass media. The results of the study show that mainstream mass media tends to still be positioned as the main source of information in the five-year democracy event. The preaching of mainstream mass media still shows partiality to certain candidate pairs by not expressing criticism and vice versa often showing criticism on other candidate pairs. The mass media that have affiliations to political parties tend to show partiality to the authorities and ignore the critical role in overseeing government practices. The oligarchy of the media industry in Indonesia has not shown the role of overseeing the social and political environment.

Abstract

In order to study chemistry, it is very important to establish a connection between theory and practice. The ability to solve problems is a well-studied theoretical knowledge and a good methodology for working on theory lessons. Typically, a problem-solving strategy consists of three parts: examining the conditions of the activity and its analysis, forming opinions, completing tasks, and reviewing. To better understand the importance and usefulness of methodological preparation in problem solving, we have assembled two groups of fourteen students from second-grade agricultural engineers. The first group of students has the opportunity to methodically explain the approaches to problems in chemistry. The second group only gets problems that have to be solved without methodical preparation. The purpose of our experimental work is to determine the contribution of methodological preparation during the completion of the activities. The group of students who received the methodically described training achieved significantly better results. This is proof of the assumption in the theoretical part that the methodological preparation of problem solving is unavoidable and necessary, and that its practical significance is multiplied.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the values of local wisdom with an insight into environmental law owned by the people of Nagari Pariangan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Research data collection using observational methods, focus group discussions, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the values of local wisdom of Nagari Pariangan as a guide to people's lives in protecting their environment are manifested in customary norms that natural resources in the form of land/fields/ rice fields, forests and rivers cannot belong to individuals but belong to indigenous people/tribes and in its management must obtain approval from Ninik Mamak. The Tigo Tungku Sajarangan government integrates the customary norms of Nagari Pariangan with environmental laws that are realized in consensus agreement between Ninik Mamak in every development plan that is proclaimed by the Nagari Government, Regency, Provincial and Central Governments. If the results of the consensus were unanimous then that would be the final decision carried out by each of the nephews/ community's children.

Abstract

Higher education faces major challenges in the interruption era. Universities in the Indonesian Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education are encouraged to revive the curriculum in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (INQF). However, this is considered to be lacking. Every argument that comes from recovery must be changed. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and reconstruct the course. Reconstruction is an improvement on a course based on the need to review its relevance to everyday needs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and reconstruct the themes of environmental physics. Based on the assessment of PGRI Semarang University Physics Environmental Physics courses, it is concluded that learning and learning methods need to be modified by adapting requirements. The result of the reconstruction of environmental physics is the integration of ethane technology into teaching materials and methods. This integration will help students better understand the physical concepts of companies and their impact on the environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the arabic-archipelago hybrid language. The factor of grammar changes that occur in the Arabic-Archipelago language is supported by (a) the Arabic-speaking community that has its own prestige - its nationality which refers to the descendants of the prophet Muhammad, so that it has a positive charisma among the Nusantara community which is a mostly Muslim population in the world; (b) a very close degree of intimacy in social relations at the start even as evidenced by their participation in the struggle for Indonesia's revival; (c) demographic factors with the establishment of Arab villages (other than Chinatown) during the Dutch colonial period. The development of Arabic used as a language of commerce and religion is not inferior when compared to English, which is currently a global language in the world. The social interaction of Arab descendants and indigenous communities is manifested in the development of a new culture (in this case, language) in a genealogical society.

This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and study documentation. Dynasty politics is a process of regenerating power for the interests of the political elite that aims to maintain power by placing their families or relatives in certain positions in the field of government. The practice of dynastic politics in the village of Cileunyi Wetan was an attempt to maintain power by the village head's family for several periods. The relationship between the village head and the former village head was uncle and father, who still had influence in the community. The dynasty in the village leadership in the village of Cileunyi Wetan was caused by the strength of capital (economy), the strength of family networks, and the existence of unhealthy democratic practices. The dynastic political impact of village leadership on community development in the village of Cileunyi Wetan is the control of economic resources in the village by a group of people, and the existence of nepotism in the recruitment of village government officials.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of women in traditional musical culture in Kazakhstan and addresses the life and creativity of Dina Nurpeisova (1861-1955). Dina was a respected stupid player, student of the famous kyushi [ii] Qurmanghazy and of a super kyuishi. The article examines Dina's life based on archives that became available only after Kazakhstan became independent. From the 1940s to the 1990s, the Soviet media ended the oppressive conditions of the Kazakh women's revolution. He claimed that women in the "wild" Kazakhstan, who had no control or their own culture, achieved happiness until after the creation of the Soviet Union. The printed media focused specifically on the character of the famous kyuishi Dina Nurpeisova (1861-1955), who described her as a Kazakh woman released under Soviet rule. Since then, Dina has ignored this view, but this misunderstanding of the feminine position in the revolutionary Kazakh culture has become the norm. The result is that Dina is considered a unique phenomenon in Kazakh music culture. Although she undoubtedly had unusual gifts (people even called her "Kyu's mother", which amounts to calling Kyur's father "Qurmanghazy"), Dina was not the only officially recognized woman in Kazakh traditional culture. The Kyuishi women ruled the states and the women occupied a very high position in the traditional society, as evidenced by many excellent names of singers, poetesses, actresses, kyuishis and warriors that they have preserved until today. At the same time, Dina Nurpeisova is a special place among these prominent women in Kazakh. The purpose of this study is to free Dina's biography from antiquated and wrong interpretations and to present his artistic approach based on in-depth knowledge.

Abstract

Based on data from various sources, there are currently many natural disasters (ecological disasters) in different regions in Indonesia. Environmental hazards in the form of floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions, forest fires, smog, and so forth. Ecological disasters can occur due to natural factors or due to human intervention. Environmental hazards will get worse if prevention is not done early. One way to mitigate ecological disasters is to instill the character of caring for the environment early on. The question is whether character education cares about the environment? What does this have to do with ecological disaster mitigation efforts? How do you teach character education to care for the environment from an early age? These questions become the common thread in this article. The character of caring for the situation cannot be obtained instantly but requires a long process and a relatively long time. Someone will have a caring attitude towards the environment because of the habituation that takes place continuously and continuously. Habituations that take place consistently will be firmly planted in the subconscious mind so that they will later be exposed to their actions in daily life (habits) as the character values they have. A child who has the character of caring for the environment will have a positive impact on the survival of the surrounding environment. This is where the importance of efforts to prevent (mitigate) ecological disaster early on.
